Pateros Chamber of Commerce Meeting Minutes
February 18, 2009

Meeting held at Pateros City Hall, and called to order by Chamber President, Jennifer Stennes.

The Homestead provided lunch for an $8 donation.

Motion made by Mayor Gail Howe to approve minutes of last meeting as presented. Seconded by Cheryl Schweizer. Motion passed

Motion made by Brenda White to approve Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Coleen Couch. Motion passed.

Everyone present introduced themselves to today's guests.

Mayor’s Briefing Report – Mayor Gail Howe reported on recent City business. The Centennial is coming in 2013. Linda Marsh is working on a website for the City, which will she hopes will be up and running by summer. A Police Advisory Meeting was held. School and business issues were discussed.

School Briefing Report – Lois Davies announced that heat has been reestablished in the school. Three students are going to State in wrestling and they are having a send-off tomorrow at 8:00. There will be a fundraiser for basketball from 5:00 until 7:00 on Monday the 23rd. This will be a donation-paid dinner.

Guest Speaker: Lois Davies, Superintendent of Pateros Schools – Lois Davies gave a presentation on the upcoming “Health & Safety” Bond issues.

Upcoming Event: Annual Banquet – Chamber Treasurer, Linda Marsh, reported that ballots will be going out in the March utility bills.

Miscellaneous – Chamber Secretary, Mary Pearson, announced a correction in the 2009 Events Schedule for the HydroRaces. The races will be held August 29 – 30 instead of August 22 – 23. Also, the Chamber will launch the first edition of its newsletter in March.

Next meeting will be March 18, 2009. Lunch will be available.
