The Homestead provided lunch for an $8 donation.

Mayor’s Briefing Report – The City’s website, www.cityofpateros.com is now up and running. The next Counsel meeting is coming up Monday and will address water efficiency. Brent Sillito has been named the new Counsel member, finishing out Ron Roberson’s term.
Upcoming Event: Apple Pie Jamboree – Linda Marsh reported that everything is ready for the weekend. There have been a lot of 3 on 3 basketball tournament applications turned in, including at least 10 paid applications submitted online. The shirts are here and on sale for $10.00 each. Sterling Savings Bank has donated $100 for games.
Upcoming Event: Dragon Boat Races – Joni Parks announced that they have 12 teams lined up so far, up from 11 last year. There are 2 new local teams this year, Yancey’s Pateros Hardware and NCNB. There will be 4 boats per heat this year. The boats are on their way and practice will begin this evening at the boat launch. The booklet has a schedule of all events for the Jamboree.
Guest: Amy Wu of Rest Awhile Country Market announced that they are holding an outdoor concert this Friday from 7 pm until 9:30 pm. Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band will play in the upper orchard. Tickets will be $8 per person, 12 and under are free.
Miscellaneous: Coleen Couch, President of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce, invited everyone to the 4th Annual Budweiser-Lowrance King Salmon Derby, July 31 – Aug 2 at Columbia Cove Park. Tickets are available online. 275 fishermen have signed up this year. Chamber Vice-President, Rebecca Meadows reported that there will be a grilled salmon dinner on Sunday during the derby from 11 am – 3 pm in the park. The Colville Tribe is providing the salmon and the cooks and also donated money for dinner and prizes. There will also be a raffle.
Next meeting will be August 19, 2009. Lunch will be available.
