Meeting was held at Pateros City Hall, called to order by Rebecca Meadows, President Jen Stennes was absent.
Introduction of everyone present.
Minutes - Linda Marsh moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held Oct. 21st, 2009; seconded by Lois Davies. Motion carried unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report- Lois Davies moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Carlson. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Gail Howe gave the Pateros City briefing covering: Pateros was 1st in the county to receive $15,000 for historical signs, and applied for ECEEG grant of $135,000 for restoration of old fire hall into a museum. Pateros Council approved the 1.1 million dollar budget for 2010.
Lois Davies gave the school briefing with information about the Veteran’s Day assembly. Also talked about various construction and upgrades being done. There will be a holiday concert Dec. 17th, and there was 89 students on Honor Roll.
Brenda White discussed the Relay for Life’s 1st fund raiser.
Linda Marsh spoke about Christmas on the Confluence December 16th at 5:30pm. Located in the old fire hall, will be goodie bags for the kids and cookie donation can be brought to City Hall.
Guest speaker Mike Hassing CEO of Family Health Centers talked about the history of FHC and common misconceptions. Also covered was the growth and goals of FHC and he welcomed input about how to link or support the Pateros community with FHC.
Juli Doty was introduced as Pateros’ newest Planning Commission member.
Rebecca Meadows said KOZI was giving out 60 turkeys for Thanksgiving when you heard a “gobble”.
No meeting in December, next Chamber meeting will be Jan 20th 2010. Lunch will be provided for $8.00.
