Pateros Chamber of Commerce Meeting Minutes
October 21, 2009

Meeting held at Pateros City Hall, and called to order by President, Jennifer Stennes.

Lunch was provided by The Homestead.

Introductions of everyone present.

Motion made, seconded and passed to approve minutes of last meeting.

Motion made, seconded and passed to approve Treasurer Report as presented of $772.06.

Mayor Gail Howe gave the Pateros City briefing covering: New Budget, Initiative 1033, EDD, and OCTC.

Rebecca Meadows gave the School briefing with information provided by Lois Davies, Superintendent.

Judy Asmussen reported on the Police Advisory Committee meeting held last month. Updating member specifications and meeting requirements from the city. This committee appreciates all community participation. The next committee meeting will be February 17th upon completion of the Chamber meeting.

Nancy Warner, Initiative for Rural Innovations & Stewardship (IRIS) was our guest speaker. She told of the history and goals of the stewardship. She announced the Summit meeting November 18, 2009 in Pateros at the new fire hall.

Rebecca announced a “Short Course in Local Planning” to be held October 29, 2009, 6:15 p.m. at the Twisp Senior Center. The course is a joint effort between the Washington State Department of Commerce and the Planning Association of Washington.

Julie Doty was present to announce her new Reality office opening next week in Pateros.

Next meeting will be "Tuesday", November 17th.

Lunch will be available.
