Project Description:
The purpose of the project is to slow traffic on Warren Avenue and increase pedestrian safety. Goals of the project include:

  • Slow traffic on Warren and Riverside Drive
  • Increase pedestrian safety, especially at crossings.
  • Square up intersections to increase vehicular visibility and safety.
  • Redesign parking at Tennis Courts to increase vehicular safety in and out of Riverside Drive Lower, while keeping a maximum number of parking stalls for the park.

PROJECT UPDATES

7/18/2022 City of Pateros Local Road Safety Plan 2022 Adopted. Pedestrian Safety, Speed, and truck traffic on W. Warren a top priority.

October 2022
Mayor Hook had an impromptu meeting with Andrew Beagle, WA TIB Engineer, at the Infrastructure Assistance Coordinating Council and expressed safety concerns associated with three Warren Avenue intersections that are safety hazards – Dawson, North/Lakeshore, and Riverside Drive. The discussion led to the State offering a pilot program with a new material to both Pateros and Chelan.
